Life is so fragile that at any moment it can come crumbling down in a matter of seconds. It takes years to get to the top, but only a few minutes to fall to the bottom. This is such a great book (I loved the movie, watched it a lot growing up) speaking from a life and economic learning standpoint. Gold is our safe haven. The future is uncertain so we must be prepared for anything that is thrown at us. Like you said, a sunrise never lasts. Stay gold Ponyboy.
