Por primera vez en la historia de la humanidad, este diciembre del presente año un paciente ruso recibirá el primer trasplante de cerebro.
Valery Spiridonov, posee una enfermedad neurodegenerativa con una atrofia espinal. Por esta razón esta decidido a someterse a esta operación, que durara mas de 36 horas continuas.
La operación tiene un gran riesgo, pero el momento mas critico de la operación sera lograr conectare la médula con el puente encefálico.
El neurocientífico italiano Sergio Canavero, se siente bastante seguro de lograr esta maniobra tan invasiva asegura con un 99% de que la operación sera un excito.
