A day in the life : Day 356
Today was one of those days that moved neither fast nor slow — just steady enough to keep me going. I started the morning with a cup of tea and tried not to check my phone right away. It’s a small habit I’m working on, to not rush into messages and news before my head has fully woken up.
Work went smoothly, nothing major, just the usual flow. But what stood out today was the short break I took in the afternoon. I went outside for a bit, sat quietly, and watched a few kids playing cricket in the lane. It reminded me of simpler times when evenings were about games and not screens. Funny how just watching others enjoy can lift your own mood.
Evening felt slower than usual, but in a good way. I made a light dinner and spent some time reading. I’ve been trying to get back into the habit — not for knowledge or self-improvement, just for the calm it brings.
Before ending the day, I went through a few old photos. It’s strange how they make you miss people and moments, but also make you grateful that they happened at all. I guess that’s how most days go — quiet, ordinary, but carrying their own weight in small moments. Not every day has to be big to feel meaningful. Sometimes, being at peace with the pace of life is all that really matters.
