A day in the life : Day 351

in #notes2 days ago

Some mornings start with a kind of quiet that feels heavier than usual. Today was like that. I woke up, made some tea, and sat looking out the window for a while. Nothing particular on my mind, just that sense of stillness that sometimes follows you around. I didn’t feel sad exactly, but there was a certain weight in the air — maybe the kind that comes when you’ve been thinking too much lately.

After breakfast, I tried to focus on a few tasks. I got some of them done, but my head wasn’t fully in it. So I stepped out for a bit, walked around the neighbourhood. The air felt fresher than expected — maybe because it had rained last night. You could still smell the damp earth, and the trees looked a shade greener. That small walk helped more than I thought it would.

Back home, I spent the afternoon doing simple things — cleaning a bit, sorting a few old files, listening to random music playlists. I didn’t plan any of it, just went along with what felt right. By evening, the heaviness had settled down. Sometimes you don’t need to fix everything; you just need to let the day move on at its own pace.

It’s strange how doing almost nothing can help you feel more grounded. Maybe not every day needs to be productive or meaningful. Some days are just about breathing, resetting quietly, and getting through without expecting too much — and that’s okay.
