Narrow-leaf cattail during winter.
Narrow-leaf Cattail (Typha angustifolia) is a decorative aquatic plant that is widespread in the northern hemisphere.
In Norway, these particular flowers will mature in August. The brown female flowers at the bottom and the male flower at the top can be seen during the first part of the fall. Later the male flower withers away and cannot be seen for so long. The dark brown female flowers stay longer on the plant throughout the fall and even until the winter.
These pictures are taken in the winter, and the beautiful and the decorative female flowers are nice to view with the white snow in the background.
Often these decorative female flowers are brought home and put into a vase. There they can stand for several years without fading.
And the truth is a beautiful combination of cattail - Typha angustifolia and white snow.
Thanks for the pictures, dear @Siggjo
