RE: One Bit News - Technology - Week 9

in #norway7 years ago (edited)

Very interesting! It's funny to think how the development within technology seems to accumulate in a sort of logarithmic pattern. It took several hundred years between the first cart and the car, but only a few decades between the first long range communication system and say the cellphone, or the internet. It makes me think if this trend within advancement will continue or not. When will advancement be so crammed up that we can't reach a faster pace in development? What if we've reached that point already?

Hi @pharothetillia
Interesting thoughts you bring to the table. The most extreme example of this is probably the cave paintings in Chauvet Cave, in southeastern France to the modern art took 32.000 years. No real development happened the first 28.000 years. But then....
I think that the phase of development correlates with the ever expanding population of the world.

..."correlates with the"? I can't seem to read further. Is there an expand button I don't seem to find?

Hi @pharothetillia
Sorry about that, I am dead sure I finished that line. Anyway, edited my comment now.
Have a great weekend!
