Hi @Lovework, Welcome to Steemit and our magazine, @Onebitnews.
You have gotten something nearly right and that is to get your hands on as manny STEEM as posible. But you also have to power the STEEM up so you get STEEM POWER. With SP you get more voting power, more return vests and more curation reward.
