Sahg - III (Full Album)
SAHG
In 2004, Manngard singer Olav Iversen joined the Gorgoroth bassist Tom Cato Visnes and guitarist Thomas Tofthagen and founded the band Sahg. They brought drummer Einar Selvik in 2005. They then released the EP a Godless at Regain Records. A year later they released the debut album I, which reached the 31st place on the Norwegian album list. Shortly after they had finished recording Selvik left the band and was replaced by Tor Bjarne Bjellan.
After this release, Sahg joined Celtic Frost to the United States in 2007 and played at Wacken Open Air. A year later, the group released their second studio album II. Sahg then joined Trouble on tour in Europe and played individual concerts in India, among others. The drummer Tor Bjarne Bjellan left the band, and in 2009 he was replaced by Thomas Lønnheim. The band signed a new contract with Indie Recordings, and began at the end of 2009 to work on its third studio album, III. This was released in August 2010. In November 2012, Sahg began recording his fourth studio album that will be released in 2013.
Sahg plays hard rock in the same style as Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. The band has also had influences of Doom Metal and Alternative Rock at times.
