📷 #ColorChallenge TuesdayOrange 'Norwegian Salmon Sashimi'
I alway figured salmon to be pink, but when I look at this nice salmon sashimi plate it is actually perfectly orange.
Farmed salmon is supposed to be grey, but luckily for the consumer, the salmon farmers add astaxanthin in the food. Voilà!
Salmon is supposed to be grey? It' so strange that we don't just eat it that way then. 😄 This is a great photo though! It's really good quality and perfect for the orange color challenge! Salmon is one if the best things on earth in my opinion so of course I love the post. 😌 Keep steeming!
It is weird to think that Salmon is truly grey.
We are all fed the perception since we are younger that salmon is always orange.

The farmed salmon is grey given a diet without artificial colors. Wild salmon is pink because it eats lots of small free-floating crustaceans, such as tiny shrimp.
