FRV008: JOY PART.1 by ALF EMIL EIK (NO)
Joy & Breath of Eternity is a album by Alf Emil Eik (born in Arendal, 1953), released in 1979. This is his first and only record as a solo artist. The album was released on the label Harvest (recorded in Scanax studio i Oslo). Sound-wise this is linked to progressive symphonic rock with a hard Jazz edge. Some tracks also gives a strong YES influence in some ways. Though i'm presenting the playful jazzy prog song "JOY part 1" here, which goes well with the thematic of the obscure in this series :)
He also produced the world famous "Kaptein Sabeltann" albums.
The album Joy & Breath of Eternity also got re-released on a double cd in 2010 by Strømland records. These discs consists of the original release on one disc (how it was distributed by Harvest/EMI Norsk in it's time. And the second bonus-disc includes eight remixes by Prins Thomas (A well profilated electronica/House artist from Norway)
