I love coffee as well, but I'm a Chemex girl. You mentioned that you also love journaling and, I as well. I'm not sure if you've heard of it or seen it, but there is a Q&A 5 year journal. Everyday is a new and weird question to answer and you get to see how your answers progressive over 5 years. That's how I start my day with that journal and damn fine cup of coffee. I do like the idea of a gratitude journal as well! Coffee and reflection is the perfect way to start any day.
