He recently caught a 46 1/2inch Jack on our last trip out, I just have yet to post it. 😉
Bigger than the ones we were catching at Lesser Slave Lake in Alberta that is for sure. I think that the biggest we got last week was maybe 2.5 / 3 lbs. There are big ones in Lesser Slave but we thankfully did not catch them...lol
Catch a few smaller ones once in a while, this is about the smallest I have seen on this lake.
The big ones are an exciting fight to bring in! :)
Reminds me of fishing in Ontario when I was a kid. The pike were always so hungry. Most of the time we just tried to keep them away from our bass lures because they would bite through the line and you would lose the lure.
They can definitely be a nuisance when your fishing for other fish, but they taste soooo good!
