Bakers Narrows Scenic Tower. Living In the North Woods.
Lake Athapapaskow, with its clear blue waters, offers not only tranquility, but also excellent trout and walleye fishing.
The name Athapapaskow means "rocks all around" in the Cree language. Travel the waters by canoe or motor boat to see if you can spy great blue herons, double-breasted cormorants, or the common loons. In addition to the many types of birds who live in the park, you may also find yourself upon the trail of a moose, mink or beaver.
The Bakers Narrows scenic tower offers spectacular views of the forest, rock outcrops and crystal clear waters. Surrounded by the deep, yet vibrant greens and blues of the landscape.
Allow at least 30 minutes to hike up the tower, enjoy the view!

I have a co-worker who guided fishing on "Athapap" as he called it in his younger days. I have heard stories, but never seen the country in photos. Pretty fantastic looking!
