Learning Some Web Dev Shtuff

in #nodejs6 years ago

PHP, html, and CSS are all I've really used in the past. Minimal amounts of JS to 'get the job done'. I've always especially shied away from node js.... javascript on the server??? are you mad?

haha

Probably just making fun of myself for being old.

With all the new activity around DPorn lately, people have been speaking over my head. I don't need to know everything about node, but I would like to at least be able to follow the conversation. Digging in. Hope I don't get lost!

Learning by doing is the best way to learn. I can't learn anything unless I actually need to learn it. All the videos I've watched on python didn't do much until I needed to make things with python. Then boom, I was learning what I needed to know so I paid a lot more attention and learned specifically what I would use instead of general stuff that I might never use.
