Could the Netherlands become a part of the United Kingdom?

Anglo-Dutch gone too far?

That's an insane notion to entertain that the Netherlands could become part of the United Kingdom, but is it really beyond the realm of reality? I often mention this idea to the passing stranger, and their eyes light up with delight at the thought of the two neighbours merging together. A lot of people think that I'm crazy, but I'm merely saying that the door of possibility should always remain open. The two countries are intrinsically linked through Royalty, similar culture, love for beer, battered fish & chips, religious denomination, history and most importantly the future. Both Royal families are joint owners of a multitude of different companies, not forgetting that it was during the second world war that the Dutch Royals fled to the UK, escaping the Nazis. If I look across Europe at all the different countries, with the Brexit engines revving behind me, I see new unions emerging and the possibility of multiple unions, within Europe itself. For example, there are 13 countries with whom have Royal Families and they could create a Royal Union, that would of course include the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Norway, etc. If you bear in mind that Spain is wrestling with losing half the country, due to Barcelona fighting for independence, and then there's Scotland, who want to revisit the voting booths for another crack at their independence. That would lead to the Royals losing an awful lot of land mass, so in an ever-changing world, thinking outside the box with a fresh approach, could be a good idea. The King of Spain just recently visited Buckingham Palace, and it was splashed across a few papers that the two Royal families are related to one another, so it wouldn't surprise me if all the Royals in Europe are connected in some way, they're all Royals, so that's a start.

Another benefit to anyone living within a supposed Royal Union, would be the countries and areas of the world the respective kingdom(s) stretches out to, like the Caribbean, Mediterranean, South America and if Queen Elizabeth throws in the commonwealth countries with it, then that's the African continent on the map as well.

Then I suppose it would be only right to introduce a Royal crypto currency to use across the whole union, the Crypto Royal Coin! :-D There are 50 countries covering the European continent and there are some heading into the European Union, when others could possibly be heading out, but having lived in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, it certainly wouldn't be a shock if the two countries start looking towards the other as family in waiting.

Did I mention that from later on this year a new 300kph direct train service will operate from Amsterdam to London....direct in under four hours, Hmmm..that's rather fast, rather eager to make it easier to transit between the two cities. Food for thought? ;-)
