Nintendo Switch

enter image description here

I have always put Nintendo consoles in a different category from Microsoft and Sony consoles because I feel that they have a different purpose, not that the others are better but simply different.
This is why I didn’t cover anything from Nintendo in my previous blog on consoles.

I have always been a big fan of Nintendo because the home consoles are unique and the portable consoles have such a wide range of great games. The new Nintendo switch combines both of these aspects.

Switch:

The home aspect allows you to plug the console in, connect it to a TV and play as you would with any other console, it also has its own new controller.

For the portable section you have to take the middle section out of the console, the middle section is the screen of the portable console and then you take to remote parts of the controller and slide them onto the sides of the screen, they can also be taken of and used similarly to 2 mini wii remotes.

I absolutely love this idea of having a two in one portable/home console. If you are in the middle of playing a game and have to go out, instead of having to pause it and leave or turn it off you are now able to just take it with you.

Games:

So far there isn’t many games confirmed for the Switch, however I’m sure that will change in the coming months, but at the moment there is;
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Project Sonic 2017
Dragon quest X
Dragon quest XI
NBA 2K17
Just dance 2017
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom

Skyrim is one of the games expected to be on the switch, and it seems very likely that it will be confirmed.

Specs, Price & Release date:

When it comes down to the specs of the console there isn’t really much to say because Nintendo haven’t released any information yet other than it will be HD and the screen is 6.2", as they plan to release more info on January 12th.

It’s also the same for the price, no info until January 12th however it looks like it will be between £250-£300 which I think is a good price for a dual console.

The release date will likely be announced at the same time as the rest of the info, however it is thought to be at some point in march.

I think that the switch will be a great aspect to the console family as a hole because it is bringing something new to gaming as a whole, I also like the way all of the components fit together so cleanly and it only takes seconds to take apart and put together.

God I am excited about this console. It's just so dang... COOL. My main worries are battery life for the controller and mini-screen, library of games, and resolution. I really want this to capture the attention and sell well with mainstream audiences, who care about library size and resolution. The batter life is for me: I want to carry this everywhere!

ye that is true, i'm not really sure what the battery life is like but i hope it is good
