Nintendo Closes Miitomo, First Smart Phone Application
Miitomo, Nintendo's first smartphone application, will close on May 9, two years after it was put on the market.
Since May 9, Nintendo's social media practice will no longer allow you to use any features or view your own saved messages or your MiFotos. Miitomo Mii You can install Miitomo by connecting it with your Nintendo Account, but the auxiliary Mii characters are deleted.
Miitomo's paid currency sales have been discontinued yesterday, but will still be given as a daily entry bonus to the player, which will continue to be used until the merchant and Miitomo features close.
Nintendo did not specify any reason for the termination of the application, but it was probably because of the reduced number of users. Miitomo application reached 10 million users in the first month.
Still, Nintendo's plans for smartphone games continue without slowing down. The company is targeting two to three applications per year with DeNA developers. Nintendo also said it wants to work with more mobile developers in the future.
Great post......I think its Educational post.
Nintendo seems to be really struggling with making something for mobile that really sticks.
Remember that Pokemon GO is not actually made by Nintendo.
While I personally found Miitomo to be quite interesting, it was quickly obvious that Nintendo didn't really have any plans for it, and the question soon was: why am I "playing" this?
Nintendo is masters of the cute and weird, but do users really want a social media that makes it a chore to communicate with their friends, when Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat makes it super fast and easy?
Seems not.
