Paper Pillows (Poetry - Contest Entry for Nihilistic Rainbow #6)
This poem was written for the Satirical Poem Contest, Nihilistic Rainbow #6. The theme of this week's contest is, "The wet dreams of a bureaucrat".
Paper Pillows
She lays her head
on her front desk,
exhausted from repeating:
"Sorry Sir, I cannot accept
this submission. Please,
send them to Office 112
in Block 4 -
a couple miles away".
Drool drips onto
unfiled papers
as she dreams
a different story.
"Madam, I will do anything
to solve this issue
right here and now",
says the handsome man
in a husky voice.
He slides the papers onto her desk
before he slides underneath the desk;
his tongue performing magic
as her nails dig into his skin.
A loud thud wakes her up;
grumpy old lady groaning and slamming.
She asked for help,
refusing to take no for answer;
claiming that the receptionist
had promised her
with a resounding "YES!".

Good one! It took an unexpected direction but I liked it.
I included the theme for the contest kind of as a 'warning' as to what to expect. Satire is not my main thing, but it is definitely enjoyable!
