Kneeling (Poetry Entry for the Nihilistic Rainbow Contest #5)
Kneeling
The night is steamy:
kneel in front of your man,
your hands grasped -
begging for his blessing.
The morning is holy:
kneel in front of your priest,
your hands grasped -
begging for his forgiveness.
The irony of it all:
you repeat the same act twice;
taking men too seriously,
letting them dictate
how you should behave.
This poem was written for the Satirical Contest Nihilistic Rainbow #5. The theme of the poem/contest is that you should not be taking life too seriously. Let loose, enjoy, and do not be a slave to the patriarchy.

interesting depiction....lolz. the ladies should not take us too seriously right?
Every person should put him or herself first. We cannot take society and others too seriously, or else we will end up living like puppets or robots without much free will
