Missed Connection
He, a "democratic" dictator,
She, a bombshell comrade,
He'd beheaded his third wife,
and needed an upgrade.
They met on the border
of the living and dead,
his men kidnapped her
to dump on his bed.
He was a romantic cliche
fumbling Fibonacci's rose,
She poisoned her lipstick
and fed him to the crows.
Got message of a transfer
in keeping with her rates,
not a disaster, she thought
one of her better dates.
Love this. The plot twist at the end is so awesome, and your choice of words are quite evocative.

Fibonacci's Rose! clever clever, enjoyed the use of idioms - I find them so difficult to fit and write around in a narrative rhyming piece, especially with the weight already placed upon the words from reader recognition.
