Behold the resonance of solemnity,
as it echoes over forgotten laughter,
and manifests in the crevasses of headlines and deadlines
of the stress induced face lines,
that one more hit of Botox can cure.

So, sit stressfully and ponder
engorged in your ‘what if’s’ and ‘wonder’
Soak up every ounce the mediocrity
That we so prodigally invest in tediously,
So that our conviction and persuasion can bring you one day closer to death.

Because this cross we bare inside our mind
Remains our crucifix from time to time
Erected on the neatly compiled layers
of serious voices,
serious actions
and serious thoughts.

You inhale existential

And exhale exponential

As you plot the extent of your travels
On the graphs of your discontent and haggles
While the stock markets beckon you to lay at it feet once more

Just another small price to pay
for the deniability rights
of the simple delights
that we allow to slip from our grasp.
