Why are things at home never a interesting as things abroad, I have the feeling that tonight would have been inspirational if I was in Prague or Copenhagen or Paris, yet lacked the wonder when I knew I had to rush to the 6.47pm to Alamein.

I have asked myself that question many times. If I was a visitor here there would be so much stuff to photograph but when it's so familiar it often fails to inspired. 😢
Yeah, I don't know if it's about always having a camera with you on holidays, or just that you are actually looking at the world rather than on autopilot, but I always feel that my photography steps up a gear when I'm travelling.
I'm not sure it's even about being on autopilot for me @harveyword. I just find the familiar uninspiring. It takes a lot of effort to see something I've seen a hundred times with fresh eyes or even interested eyes! 😊
