MY THOUGHTS ON THE LAZY NIGERIAN YOUTH SAGA

The alarm goes off at 5 am on a Monday morning, but Sylvester has no reason to want to leave the bed. He turns, rolls and then with a sigh of exasperation, says, 'another week!'

The above story is typical of most average young people out there caught up in the melodrama of Nigeria's ups and downs. It may or may not be your story, but at times in life, we get caught up with these situations where we feel the desperate need for a fresh air. I feel it too. I wake up too and I wonder why I go to school especially with the downward spiral the education sector has gone through in the past few years. 'Why do I do it anyways when I don't see a form of fulfilment?'

You see, you have every right to feel all these emotions and believe me, they're totally healthy, so you're not abnormal in any way to feel like this. What is, however, unhealthy is pulling the plug.
So here's something to think about when you are reluctant to get out of your bed.

You've come all the way to this point not necessarily because you had any reason to wake up but because somewhere in the deep recess of your soul, you feel the hunger to be great, an indebt attribute we all share.

The fact you exist is enough reason to desire the happiness you crave because you deserve it. Because you can dream it or believe it, is enough reason to believe you can make it and because your story may just be the only thing the next man needs to rise from his ashes.

So get up, take the risk, and by all means fail if you must, but fall forward even if it means failing your way to success.

In the end, it's up to you to create the world you want. It may not make sense now, but it will in the end.

For now, you're allowed to believe anything that makes you sleep better at night. After all, We deserve a shot at happiness, everyone does.

I really don't see any connection with this and what the so called Buhari said.

He said, and i quote:

A lot of them haven't been to school, and they're claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing company. Therefore, they should sit and do nothing, get housing, health care, education free.

From the mouth of the president of your country... Do you sit and do nothing? Do you hope on the government? If you did you won't be relying on Steemit.

I won't say anything again.

Lol, bro tell am oo
