It's no longer news that the President of Nigeria in person of "President Muhammadu Buhari" made a statement that many Nigerian youths are lazy and are always in search for free things because of the fact that Nigeria is an oil-rich nation.
According to sources, he made this statement while speaking at the commomwealth Business Forum in Westminister. The president said that Nigeria has a very young population, most of whom are uneducated(illiterates) but wanted everything offered to them on a platter of gold.

BELOW IS MY TAKE ON THIS ISSUE
The way the older generation (anybody born before 1975) are going about this charade of calling our generation lazy and not hard working is bizzarre and dehumanizing. They try to make us the problem when infact they are the real problem. They say we are "science students"(we take tramadol, codeine and other hard drugs), but how many of my pharmacist friends has license to import tramadol and these other drugs they talk about?.
Your generation called us yahoo boys(scammers) but who first went to America to start credit card scam?, am dead sure it wasn't the yahoo boys of today. Who went to Italy for prostitution and demean the Nigerian woman, was it the slay mama's of today?. The list is endless but i get it, you guys are old now and you can't change your fate so you try to appear as the saint and paint us as the devil and prolly cut off our ears with your sharp criticism.

Your generation are the ones in the senate and public offices looting away our future but you're more concerned about us having tattoos and dreadlocks. You all are scared to retire into misery and carry placards for unpaid pension, so you change your date of birth and fight for more time in public offices thereby giving less chance to the young and vibrant generation.

Below are some images of the so called "lazy Nigerians"

if this is being lazy then I'd rather not be hardworking

And to my generation, lets rise up and do things the right way and our future would be bright. In the history of Nigeria, we have more entrepreneurs in our generation than the whole generations in Nigeria since its creation. Lets take our trade and abilities out of Nigeria. Let's be the commercial hub of africa. Let's enlarge our coast and conquer the world as a whole.

In conclusion, with president Buhari's condemnation of our generation, it's now a national assignment to bid him farewell from Aso rock come 2019. Nigerian youths, go get ur PVC(permanent voter's card) because INEC won't count our tweets and rants on Twitter and other social media platforms. Let's be the change we want to see and i say again WE'RE NOT LAZY.

THIS IS A CALL TO THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS
