Desert Train
I want to share something with you. It is the wordings of a South African song translated in English but it speaks volumes more than just lines to a loved one who have been really missed.
It speaks more of the innocence of togetherness missed as a result of separation that have come by situations they would have been able to control if only they knew that the situations were man made and manipulated. At the end of the day, they wondered how they got where they were and have they did to get there.
They sang...
Desert Train
Bring her home
(What have we done?)
Let your steel wheels roll
Bring her and make my life whole
(What have we done?)
Desert Train
Speed on your rails
(Why are we here?)
Because you bring
My love home to me
(Why are we here?)
At the end of the day, it boils down to one thing; the north and the south, the religious violence, the herdsmen and farmers conflits in Nigeria are just stage managed, man-made and manipulated. If only we can ask ourselves...What have we done and why are we here?
A New Nigeria is Possible
