WHY WE SHOULD CARE ABOUT NIGERIA

Dear citizenry, compliments of the season to y’ all, we are in festive period and I hope we are willing to give thanks to whom it is due ‘God’. The journey throughout this year from the beginning to end was not perfect, we’ve had our share of successes and failures but some of us made it through anyway. To those who fell and unable to celebrate because of sudden illness, death of loved ones, bedridden, accidents of any form, wrecked by natural disasters just to mention a few. I want you to know that you are not alone, sorrow can last through the night but joy comes in the morning and better days are ahead of us. To those that pulled off victories this year, whether you wedded, completed higher degrees, graduated, paid off medical bills and debts, welcomed new babies, got good jobs e.t.c. We bear responsibility to our fellow citizens who were denied of these victories, while we celebrate, also remember to pray for the fallen, downtrodden and assist wherever you can.

We head into a new year with new uncertainties, 2019 can’t be more consequential bcos it presents to us a chance to decide our future as a union and as a country. The general elections taking place in 2019 means so much for our progress and pockets. If we care about the state of our government schools, unemployed brothers and sisters finding jobs that gives dignity, health care cost and benefits to our aging grandparents, affordable and quality healthcare to our illustrious youths, raising the expectations of our kids, caring for the wounded and people with disabilities, then we can’t afford to fold our arms and do nothing when it is time to vote. I recognize that not everybody will be able to vote, that brings me to this point , not having a PVC is not an excuse not to participate in the upcoming election. Promote your candidate, organize and mobilize your family members, neighbors, friends to vote. Knock on doors and explain to residents of your community the unrivaled importance of voting the right candidate.

N:B. I am not inducing you to vote for my preferred candidate, in fact, I strongly urge you to vote and promote candidates that speak to your issues but I caution against returning to power the same party that brought unto us these woes for sixteen (16) good years, did not redeem itself and asking for another d***n chance to rule us.
