RE: What's Trending Nigeria? - 01
Hello @onequality
I am very happy for the Big Waves project because it has made it easy for me to locate Nigerian authors and engage with them.
But I have noticed that more work need to be done by the authors on the quality of their content, as the giant of Africa we need to be able to lead the way in providing value.
More work needs to be done before nigeria can qualify to be called the giant of africa. For now nothing qualifies nigeria to be called the giant of africa. Or are you basing it on our population?
Hello @yaanivapeji
Nigeria has always been and would remain the giant of Africa, name one country in Africa that has mass adoption of Steemit and Cryptocurrency as a whole than Nigeria. We recently topped the Search ranking for cryptocurrency.
We are a Great Nation fillled with Great People.
@ogochuwu
Well said @ogochukwu
So i guess you are basing it on population. Alright den but i have my reservations about dat. The giant of africa and we cannot boast of steady electricity power. Even shanty towns in oda small african countries will boast of steady light.
Hello @yaanivapeji
How many of those shanty towns have you ever visited, don't make decisions based on Sentiment.
The fact that we have irresponsible leaders does not mean that every other Nigerian lacks creativity or initiative.
Our greatness is based on what we carry within us and not government policies or activities
What you should concern yourself with is how you can contribute to progress, what are you doing with the little jurisdiction you have.
@ogochukwu
Yap i agree. But i think you should just say that nigeria is a giant and not a giant of africa, bcos dat is disrespectful to oda african countries. Besides there are oda african countries better than us i areas dat matter in life, like steady power supply which i mentioned.
Im not trying to run nigeria down but it is important we say the truth. Maybe dis way things can get better quicker.
