Survival!
That's the word on the streets; that's also our reality, what we face every single day, how we live our daily lives. That is who we are. We strife to "Survive"

You don't just try but like 50 said, you make it or you die trying. Like a fight to death? Definitely yes. If this is not a jungle life, how do you explain being packed four at the backseat of a taxi car, two in front and then paying 100 bucks for a distance of 50 bucks which is after standing one hour under the hot sun?

One evening, we were pretty desperate and so we jumped into the taxi. The guy drove off and we realized he had no headlamps. He drove us without light. Was I alarmed? Definitely; yet none of us came down from the cab. We had stood for too long. We were all tired from a long day's work. Getting down to wait for another cab for God knows how long wasn't option. So, on we drove headlamplessly on a street without street lights. But we all got home and we survive.

This wasn't the life we dreamt of, nothing even close. Life (of big jobs, big houses, beautiful children, holidays abroad, etc..) after graduation, was a fantasy we never realized. Now, it's jungle life. We get jobs, get paid 25,000 bucks (US$65.00) and pay house rent of 300,000 bucks ( aprox 850.00$) each year. We bear children and get really worried; how do we raise them? How? We have extended families, mum, dad, brothers, sisters, from both husband and wife side!. We don't dare get sick; sickness is so expensive but we can't escape it. We breathe in rot and filth. They are just there in our air; and so we get sick.

Dying is even more expensive. Do you know how much it costs to bury our dead here? No one is permitted to die and leave such burdens for the living. So, we all live and slug it out. We all stay back and fight it out here. We live. We survive.

Can there be anyhope to live a better life? Do we keep surviving, living it out with under $1.5 a day, Do we keep hussling to ensure we eat, when can we have extra cash to taste the luxury of life in a country where government is for themselves, by themselves and for themselves! But wait a minute, here comes a ray of hope. here comes steemit!
