Nigeria: A New Way Out Of Recession

in #nigeria6 years ago

Basically everybody are in a state where the nature of survival is from hand to mouth majority complain about

The Government.
About recession.
About the country.

Well this facts are true the economy is actually bad and everyone shifts the blame to the above listed.

The question now is: How did it get this bad?

Well we all know that

‎"A body will be at constant rest or motion except acted upon by an external force" Newton's Law.

Why am I saying this?

In life there is no progress without movement, basically movement is involved in everything ranging from exportation and importation of food and variety of other consumer goods.

Why is this a Factor?

The increase in the price of fuel actually affected/crippled many sectors. Using the name "Fuel Subsidy"

The Nigerian President M. Buhari, increased the fuel pump price from the former ₦87/L to ₦145/L causing it to be a major problem for an entrepreneur.

Eyebrows tend to be raised when the price of a good or commodity is being presented to a potential customer. The marketer tries to explain the reason of the hike to the buyer saying it's the government's fault, where the buyer will actually be confused as per to where the government comes into the price of a certain commodity.

How does this come into Play?

Most products and goods produced or manufactured, are not moved by itself, the retailer/middle man has to go and get them, due to the hike in fuel pump price implemented by the current government of President M. Buhari the cost of transportation becomes a setback for potential business inclined personnel. Thus when goods are acquired the price is automatically inflated due to the cost of transportation from where ever it is being picked up.

What can be done?

Wages Increment:

The paycheck of the ancient ages is still being adopted. The implementation of the ₦18,000 minimum wage has actually not been able to feed a family man with two kids and a wife. Thus with the increase in the wages of workers the impact of recession will be barely felt.

Fuel Price Slash:

The government once implemented an ₦87 fuel pump price, if this act could be restored, the cost of transportation could actually be decreased by 40% thus making it easier for goods transportation from the manufacturer to the consumer.

Manufacturing Branches:

With the aid of more industrial facilities in a specific location the cost of goods will be cheaper due to the availability of it.

Good roads by the Government:

This has been one of the major setbacks in the business line of work, the provision of goods and adequate roads will foster the availability of goods

Safer Roads:

Most goods are transported from long distances, the presence of highway robbers is a scenario no one want to face, these hoodlums cart away with bought goods thus putting the business owner at a state of loss and making the goods to be insufficient to potential customers.

Its been Kay on the Keys. Possibly this suggestion can go a long way.
