Can you marry YOU?

The question above seems crazy, right?
However, the truth is: it takes marrying you to be able to marry someone else. If in fact you can marry you in spite of all you know about you, then, you can marry just anyone else.

Often times, when young people are asked why they are not married or in a relationship, one usually gets response such as " I have not seen what I'm looking for in any man or woman. "
Let me quickly ask this: Sister or brother what exactly are you looking for?
Funny enough, we spend time looking out for those PERFECT qualities all of the time, forgetting that our own imperfect qualities abound. This is interestingly, synonymous with telling someone that there is dirt in their eye, in spite of the obvious dirt in one's eye. That's quite hypocritical!

There is nothing bad in looking out for perfect qualities, but just be sure you are perfect too; that is the major criterion for your eligibility.

I am sure you love yourself, don't you? Of course, you sure do!
So a little question for you: "Since you love yourself this much, if your dream partner were like you, would you still go for him or her?"

I don't think you got it.

Okay, let me put it this way: " If your dream partner were to snore, eat, sleep, talk, lie, get angry, gossip, or even fart(😷😷) as much as you do, would you still go for him or her? You must be frowning right now, especially if you are responding sincerely to the question above. Sorry, I don't mean to upset you, but that is the truth!

You often hear ladies say they can't marry a broke guy, even when it is obvious that they are daily doing nothing to get of their pronounced
broke state.
Guys on the other hand would say they can't marry a dirty lady, even when it obvious that they need sanitation in their lives.

What then is the point?!
Well, the point is there no perfect-on-arrival guy or lady out there.
If you both were perfect or whole before meeting each other, the relationship would be of no essence. In fact, what would you be doing in such a relationship? Practically nothing!

The beauty of every relationship stems from the ability of both partners to water and watch each other grow into a giant. Partners are meant to be at the helm of each other's success stories.

Remember: There is a SEED of greatness in every person waiting to be watered and nurtured into a TREE that feeds nations. You should rather be more concerned with identifying that seed in your dream partner; every other thing will fall in place.
Be ready to hold each other's hand until you both have grown. That is how it should be.
