Flood: spare a thought for Benue

The flood was reported like six days ago. It was the worst after that of 2012 when River Benue broke its banks and swept away hundreds of millions of naira worth of valuables

Where are our celebrities?

I just finished watching a YouTube video of some of the American celebrities pledging different amounts of money to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. I saw Chris Brown, the R&B singer pledge $100,000. The music producer, D.J. Khalid pledged $25,000. The rapper, T.I donated $25,000. Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" donated $25,000 also. These are in response to the comedian, Kevin Hart.

The Ghana-American comedian, Michael Blackson pledged $5000.

Sandra Bullock stepped up in a big way, donating $1 million to the Red Cross.Jamie Foxx contributed $25,000. Ellen DeGeneres, the talk show host said she is pledging $25,000 to the Red Cross and another $25,000 to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(SPCA) of Texas.
Yet to hear of a donation from any of our celebrities.

Conclusion

The Muslim holidays is ongoing, we the people and the celebrities should spare a thought for the good people of Benue State in this trying period.
