Sheik Gumi's assertions will divide Nigerian Army along religious lines

In a country battling with insurgency, Banditry, killing of soldiers by terrorist, poverty etc, an Islamic cleric had the morale to go and tell Bandits and Islamic Jihadist in Northern Nigeria that the people killing them are Christian soldiers, such statement shows that the Army is divided along religious lines, and is not safe to be part Of.
Sheik Gumi's statement is part of the reason why soldiers, mostly those of Christian persuation are resigning from the Nigerian Army because they now discovered that they are just been used as lamb for sacrifice in the hands of Fulani Jihadist.
