The #NotTooYoungToRun Bill is a bill that will help Nigeria in the fight for her place in the world stage where young and vibrant minds are stepping out to do things that will affect the Nation in positive light.
The Nigerian people have been so badly led by a class of Nepotistic few who see nothing good in the general populace but in the class they so choose to pass down the touch.

It is not new to hear the average Nigerian talk about the cabals, the godfathers, people wey sabi and the rest of such slang, and when these people throw some buck their way they will be ready to die fighting to keep the cabals installed and protected.

The Nigerian polity is filled with Criminally Insane Persons who think nothing about the people they are elected to represent. They only think about themselves and their children and of ate, many of these leaders have been known to eat their young just so they remain in power even till the day they die.

Many are familiar with the African mentality and striving for incumbency. That is not news by the way because somewhere in Africa, there is a 93year old man till running a country aground with no one doing anything about it and you will be shocked at the way he still manages to rally up support for himself and his government.
Anyway, we are not talking about Africa now, we are talking about Nigeria and the need for the Youths to be passively involved in politics.

The #NotTooYoungToRun bill is one of many steps in the right direction to elect young and credible Nigerians into political positions. The political leaders in Nigeria are somewhat docile and senile and their thinking tends to be deeply flawed.
Seeing only the old running the affairs of a country with over 80million vibrantly educated and creative youths calls for concern. I understand that when they father ages, he becomes more and more dependent on his children who are now fathers and mothers in their own right, but that is not the case in Nigeria. These fathers eat their children and they may just be creating a Country for Old Men.

Nigeria needs to stop being a Country for Old Men and the #NotTooYoungToRun bill is just one of those things we need to achieve that goal.

WHY WE NEED THE #NotTooYoungToRun Bill

  • The bill is not about just getting the youths into politics, but about being a part of the governance of Nigeria. Many young people have given up on the Nigerian Nation and for that, just take their God-given talents to other countries while we need them here. The whole system that has been rigged to see only the old as competent enough to running the affairs of the country has brought about the brain drain syndrome that makes it impossible for a Nigerian youth to stay home and make great things happen.
  • This bill will enable the young people stay home and work hand in hand with the government of the day to birth a new Nigeria that is people, infrastructure and development oriented. The days where the youths are interested in dumping their Nigerian heritage for shelter in a refugee camp overseas should fast be deleted from our minds.
  • This bill make Nigerians know their place in the state of things in the country and how best they can participate. Of late there has been this bullying going on when a young person aspires to a higher position, he is quickly "cornered" by the powers that be who having been in power for as over 3 decade has the political wherewithal and clout to make someone disappear.
  • The #NotTooYoungToRun bill is another way of telling the international community that Nigeria is progressive and upwardly mobile, and that things will start being done in the way that it is meant to be. It is important to note that #NotTooYoungToRun is a global movement, which has found so much traction in the facts that general demographics favour the youth, and that even the current Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) seeks for proper youth mainstreaming for effective implementation.

I am proudly Nigerian and I support the #NotTooYoungToRun initiative and the bill must be allowed to pass in the Nigerian Senate.

The average Nigerian Youth is a creative and talented individual who when given the chance to express themselves, make the best out of every situation they find themselves. The Young people in Nigeria need their voice and cannot constantly be drowned by the old men who have suddenly seen themselves as gods.

Support the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill and spread the word until Nigeria gets her youths actively involved in Nation building.

#nottooyoungtorun will make a good bill and frachise young people to vie for prestigious political position and effect change. We are called leaders of tomorrow, and the tomorrow never come.

my broda, these old goons have made it a point of duty to make sure the youths never run the affairs of the country. I think the bill when passed will be a framework for the inclusion of youths in the day to day running of the polity and governance. PROUDLY NAIJA!

Every once voice have value ! So just listen .... !

it is sad that a country like this with vibrant youths cannot boast of young people in government. It is really a "country for oldmen" lol

Nottooyoungtorun bill jas been shut down by the senate, funny how our old men think
