Today Nigerians are celebrating Children's Day The day changed into set aside to encourage countries of the arena to devote a special day for the merchandising of the welfare of children, in addition, to provide platforms for interaction and expertise amongst kids. Here in Nigeria, May 27 of each year (nowadays) is dedicated to celebrating children It is usually a college-unfastened day, with number one and secondary college kids in Nigeria.

WAPA

The Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation became set up in 1999. Prior to its becoming a full -fledged Ministry, it had passed through various degrees of evolvement. Initially, it was a Department of Women and Children within the Ministry of Youths, Sports and Social Welfare.

In Lagos state, Ministry of Women Affairs and Povtrey Alleviation (WAPA) this organization is created for the growth and development of children and also accept children with disability and physically challenged in Lagos state Nigeria.

The program is done for three main purpose:
Children Survival
Children Development
Children Protection

WAPA is a Children right law in Lagos state which fight against street hawking,Children trafficking,Children abuse and hard labor.
