HOPE FOR OUR GENERATION

Blessed be the name of the LORD Most high for a day like this, the LORD of all the nations of the earth. A day like this remains in our memory a day God granted that the nation Nigeria experience deliverance from the oppression of the selfish (self's willed) foreign forces and gave us the right to become one of the nationsof the earth, a strong enduring nation with gracious resources and colorful cultural diversities. May the Lord who blessed the nations of the world with zealous men, who took nations to great heights, bless our nation with men who will be zealous unto every good work, even the work peace and hope for our dear nation Nigeria.

Looking beyond the challenges and faults of men inhabiting the land, the land is indeed beautiful, a land with blessed wildlife, unique landscape, diverse cultures yet a united people, beautiful grasslands, abundance minerals, coal and petroleum. A land blessed with the profession of the fathers of old (agriculture). Indeed God is to be praised. A time like this (a time of national independence -recalled) is a time of total reliance on God who began a new work for to build a nation 57years ago, for he Himself is the true builder of the nations.

If as big as Nigeria is, he granted the heart cries of the zealous and faithful ones, to relief the nation of the authority of foreigners, he is more able, in our own lifes as Nigerians, to relief us of the burden of the activities of those who present themselves as foreigners to the good will of God upon this land. Through the scriptures, we understand that His faithfulness reaches the heavens. How faithful is he to this nation, a nation whose divine calling is to be a giant of one of the continents of the world (Africa). May he grant unto us that this call be not perverted.

If our nation is not fulfilling its calling, we must therefore intercede. We are instruments in God's hand to bring to pass His will for this great nation. Stay hopeful in the nation builder, who loves national independence, who gave Israel its independence and raised them up from oppression into salvation. Our nation might experience the oppression of corruption, selfishness and greediness but through the wilderness, God is able to supply relief and comfort, even everlasting deliverance. The words of hopelessness have filled the lips of many genuine Nigerians, even the eyes and hearts of the youths are fainting. The future of a great nation can 't be built upon hopeless people. Words of hopelessness no matter how suiting or sincere cannot deliver out of national troubles but the dependence on the word of God's faithfulness brings to fruition the needful deliverance from the walls of Jerichos, the roadblocks of the red seas, and the violent giants of Gentile nations. The promise of a glorious future rests on the wings of God's Power and supremacy. Our national salvation is now.

Our national independence, yet wholesome dependence on God is now. May God grant us grace to be players in the work of the salvation of our nation from the strongholds of sin and corruption, being co-builders with him in building our nation. The place of national repentance can't be overemphasized.
The healing of the land is now at hand (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Rise up YE children of the most high. Let's trust him for revival, for no hope is lost when we trust in God for our nations salvation and restoration, Amen. Happy birth day, Nigeria Peace is thine today and forever, Amen...
