Happy Independence Day

Once upon a time, a man had a misunderstanding with his wife.
So a pastor came to him and told him to pray for his wife but he refused….because he was angry with his wife.
The pastor told him to pray so his wife won’t become a widow but he refused again…..He replied, “I have no cause to pray for her”.
He has forgotten that the only condition for his wife to be a widow is for him to die and the wife will be able to remarry anyone of her choice

Most times, we are like this man, we hate our leaders that we care not about our country, we don’t pray for our countries and some even curse the country while cursing the leaders.
Our leaders may be bad but we are more affected by anything that affects the country than them. If there is a war, they are like the woman in my story, they can easily travel out and be free. While they may be the ones that lited the candle, the candle burns us.
Now that there is an economic tumble, it tells on us than them.
The government workers are not paid, no one visits the artisans but that does not stip the allowances of the politicians.

Please let’s all pray for the nation. Nigeria celebrates it's Independence Day today. Let’s confess positive things about the country.
