Free indeed!
Happy independence day to all Nigerians (home and abroad), I pray we have true freedom indeed.
In the mood of celebration, I want to remind us of God's gift to mankind. The gift of salvation.
Eph 2 (NKJV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
As I was saying, salvation is a gift; it's not tangible but a release into your spirit man, it is by grace not by works. Yes, we've not seen Jesus but we believe in His power to raise us from our deadness in sin. The only power sin has is death remember the scripture says the wages of sin is death.
He ordained us even before we were brought forth, He knew us. Regardless of what you are going through, He knows, He sees and He is always there for you, He saves the day. He assures of us raising standards against those who stand against us.
We are His workmanship, we have his glorious nature, we were made to be virtuous, to walk in His ordinance, His decrees and enjoy His good plans for His plan for us is to give us good and expected ends.
Can you confidently respond to His call today? Or would you be like Adam and Eve in the garden when they realized their nakedness? Embrace God's free gift today and experience freedom indeed. Don't accept His just as Lord but also as Saviour.
