Materials :

• Cotton bud,
• Staedler pencil 5b(the effect I want to portray/effects),
• Pencil eraser,
• Tombow monozero eraser,
• Charcoal pencil(for drawing dark hairs)
• Water coloured pencil,
• Razor blade, eraser and,
• 2b mechanical pencil(my sketch pencil ).

So viewers these are the set of materials to making my realistic drawing/ beards (area of concentration on this post)

Step1;

The sketch:as usual, I sketch out the image I am drawing using grid method, including the bearded part/my area of concentration for all my viewers on steemit...

You might be wondering why I did not snap the whole sketched work right!?. Well, I want to surprise you and note my area of concentration is drawing the beards...

Step 2:

Draw all other parts including their realistic skin as seen from above on your drawing paper from left to right, if you are right handed or from right to left if you are left handed, using staedler pencil 5b (note, it depends on the pencil you are using and how dark you want to represent the image)... But do not forget to leave out the sketched area of the beards, this is because it would help reduce dirts and prevent your hands from rubbing off the charcoal effect...

Note

Place an A4 paper beneath your hand to help prevent it from rubbing off the drawn parts hence keeping it neat

Step 3:

Shade the sketch of all bearded parts using your staedler 5b pencil, (why because, hairs grow from the skin. If that's not done you might end up having white strands of hairs in between the dark hairs.). And smoothen it with the cotton bud...take an A4 paper, place underneath your hands (to avoiding rubbing off the other parts of the drawing to keep your work neat)... Then take the charcoal pencil sharpen pointedly and draw series of lines in zigzag forms.
then you are the ultimate viewers... *****************************************
