When something is on self destruct, only a remedial, removal and repudiation of the causes of the destructive effects and the application of restoration techniques can bring such a thing back to its normal state again.

In the case of an economy, either the government can repeal unhealthy policies and postulate new policies that will heal up the economy, or the populace can take the bulls by the horn and make the best out of an already bad situation, to bring the economy back from the brink of collapse

In Nigeria, the latter is the case. Our case is like that of "the rose that grew out of concrete".
In the face of all adversity and neglect for the well being of the citizenry of a great country as Nigeria, great minds have risen out of the concrete to become beautiful roses, in various respects and professions and endeavours both here in Nigeria, and abroad in various other countries.

Nigerians have strong wills. We have never allowed the lack of the enabling environment for greatness, to be limitation to us and keep us down and out. Many Nigerians have risen, are rising, and will still keep rising to greatness by the sheer effort of will, belief in their ability to become great, and faith in God to see them through.

This is the healing factor that keeps the Nigerian economy alive: the vibrant, resilient, and industrious spirit of the people who will try to "make a dollar out of 15 cents" or get rich and not die while trying.

Even though some leaders may advance selfish policies that are aimed to keep them in power, and keep the flow of wealth within their circle, yet they will never be able to altogether break the Nigerian spirit which is

"to serve Nigeria with all my strength... and uphold her honour and glory... So help me God"

This is why:

  • Even though the economic climate may be hard, The Nigeria economy still moves on.

  • Even though secessionists may try to divide us, Nigeria still remains one.

  • Even though Nigeria is labelled a corrupt country by international communities, Nigerians remain highly sought for in their labour markets because of our high level of skills and performance as individuals

Nigerians are outstanding personalities. I am proud to be a Nigerian, and a voice that can be heard in the steemit community. I am proud to be a positive force of change in this generation.

My previous post: a self destructive economy: Nigeria was not meant to present Nigeria and Nigerians here on steemit, in a bad light.
