Cavite is one of the nearest province south of Metro Manila and a major residential and commercial area. It’s a huge land that also includes some islands located at Manila Bay. Corregidor Island – Corregidor is the largest of five islands guarding the entrance of Manila Bay. Corregidor became a vital battle zone between the Japanese and the Allied forces. It’s now one of the most visited tourist attraction in Cavite both for foreign and local visitors. This place became an island memorial where you could learn a lot of history about the Philippines during the past war.

Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine – The place is Aguinaldo’s ancestral home and also the place where Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed Philippine Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898The place was declared a national shrine in June 18, 1964.

Fort San Felipe – The fort is located at the compound of the Philippine Navy, this 16th century fort is dedicated to San Felipe Neri and also the place where the Cavite Mutiny 1872 occurred when Filipino workers were implicated in the armed uprising against Spain. This is also the place where the thirteen Martyrs of Cavite were executed.
