Well we saw this with Tim Tebow, when there is something contrary to the NFL's "Core Beliefs" or what they hold dear, and its exploited or threatened in any way, they will lash out and blackball you. With Tebow it was Jesus, being model figure for all young adults and being Caucasian to boot wasn't enough to save him from getting blackballed.

That should have been the message to all in the sport that there would be no tolerance for personal ideology and opinion. The owners want you there to play ball and make them money, not run your mouth about your own opinions or exercise your personal beliefs. They only tolerate things that benefit the sport/franchise.

its an "american" sport that doesnt seem to support diverse sets of beliefs...thats just too bad. glad things are better WAY better in basketball. I've seen carmelo anthony and some of the others players talk freely on this matter thru espn .

Its true, your completely right. But basketball is a completely different beast compared to the NFL. NBA was once two different leagues the "ABA" and "NBA". The ABA made basketball what it is today. The NFL is seen as something more "American" meaning "White" and when anything that gets in the values of the NFL holders, such as "GOD", "JESUS", "HISTORY", "CONCUSSIONS".... We see that the NFL values will prevail over all. Players are not given the same freedoms that others in different sports are able to have. The Kaepernick thing wouldn't even be a "thing" if it weren't for the basis of what he was attempting to "kneel" for.

The NFL is showing its true colors and no one seems to be bothered by it. People say the reason for the blackballing is to preserve the "American Football" way, but if that was the case, the reasoning's being behind Kaeps "kneeling" shouldn't matter because its all about throwing pig skin and scoring right? Obviously its not the case.
