Over the past weekend, the striker broke the fifth metatarsal bone of the right foot, and he also had a sprained ankle. The big problem is the fracture.

After consulting with physicians, Neymar was convinced that it was better for him to lie under the knife to have a metal plate that would guarantee him a participation in the World Cup in the summer. Alternative treatment could lead to complications, and for the former Barcelona player, this is unthinkable, as it risks endangering his game of "selesao" in Russia.

At this stage, Nei Junior has not yet chosen where to take the surgery - in Brazil or France.

So surely he will not play for PSG in a draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
