Of course you saw him do good things. That is so he can turn around and do bad things that you can't see. You can see some of them now.
Also, if you think selling upvotes for money is a good thing, consider that his votes don't actually cost him anything. He is farming curation rewards, and getting paid directly in liquid SBD.
He is smart, why not doing this if there is a demand. Happy to speak when back from vacation.
