Next Colony Explorer Ship Development Suggestion
Next Colony was released yesterday and since I am a SteemNova player I thought I would give this a try. I see it has some potential but in my opinion it is far from finished. With some work and ideas the developers can create a great game.
When I joined their discord today I saw many people complaining that it takes much too long to be able to build the first ship in the game (possibly weeks of upgrading various buildings and skills). Elon Musk might be able to drive his Tesla into space faster ;-p.
Here is a suggestion to remedy this problem
Basically just limit the exploration distance as you level up buildings/skills.

That is a creative idea to quicken exploration. Sort of like the low level ship and probs that can be built at lower levels would explore nearby. But to reach farther destinations better tech would be needed. Kind of like how in real life we have put stuff on Mars and satellites around Saturn and others.
Yep, with the user interface they have for the in game galaxy, a progression like this would be perfect. This gives lower level players something to do rather than just upgrade buildings/skills.

They should have thought about this before starting the game.
Nice! Exactly what i thought when i recognized that it could take ages to start a first ship into space. My proposal was to simply allow to build at least a small spacecraft for exploring with less chances to find something in the near surroundings of the home planet. Without it lacks the Enterprise feeling which would work quite good with this ability right from the start or at least i would say earlier after a few upgrades. Just sitting on this gray planet for weeks and months is not the best option.
