Are you playing Next Colony Yet?
This brand new STEEM blockchain integrated game was launched earlier this week and we've been hard at work getting our Alpha planet up and running!
In it's early stages @nextcolony revolves primarily around resource extraction and management on your starting "Alpha" planet. Choose your skill and building upgrades wisely in the early going, as you gradually work towards off planet exploration! Eventually building a wonder of the universe on a legendary planet!
We have a neighbor!
Our home Alpha planet is in the center but noticed today a neighbor pop up, well hello there! The race is on, who can get off planet first and pay a little surprise visit.. maybe they've got some extra resources laying around that they wont be needing? You've been officially put on notice, expect a visit in the near future!
First Buildings!
So far we've magaged to upgrade our mines to level 4, with more upgrades just around the corner. Let's get those resources pumping, we've got spaceships to build..
The Artwork!
Must say the art work is incredibly detailed!
@bronkong is the artist responsible for all of the NextColony illustrations, and he's done a fantastic job so far! Currently it goes a little bit unnoticed as you can only really apprecaite all the detail if you open the images in a new tab in all its hi res glory. Here's our home base:
So far it's been a blast leveling up my Alpha colony, lets see where this game will take us!

I’ve been playing but there isn’t much actual gameplay as yet. Just endlessly upgrading mines isn’t much fun. Apparently it takes forever to get an explorer ship unless you pay.
Hoping it will improve as I like this genre of games.

Am also going the free route, guess we'll see how long it takes to get an explorer..! From what I've seen some of the lvl upgrades for explorer skills and even the shipyard will take a considerable amount of time. I imagine it will feel worth the wait once we have our Alpha planet up and running and we're exploring space.. we'll be heavily invested time wise, and will hopefully have a considerable advantage over others that join the game at a later time. Really excited to see where this game goes! In the mean time, grind grind grind those resource upgrades 😎

Hey thanks @pouchon, definitely time consuming! The quicker you can catch your next upgrade the faster you level,..so there's an erg to check in a couple times a day. Might slow a bit now that upgrades are taking longer and longer.. I'm trying to figure out how long it will take to get my explorer without purchasing a boost.. guessing a few weeks still...
This new game looks quite interesting! If I find time , i will have to check it out !👍👍👍😎
Ahhh beam me up! Yeah the consensus is that this is pretty time consuming at first.. Should be worth it once we get off planet and start exploring our galaxy!
