RE: George Orwell's Novel.......1984.

in #newzleakz7 years ago

I was always creeped out about Winston's apartment where he had just one little place to go where he could not be seen. I don't have much, but a private place to rest at the end of the day is always my goal.

Recently I read a post about 1984, and the person said - who would have ever believed that we would willingly carry around something that tracked our every move, reported the details, and could take photos of everything we see? Not only that - we pay for the privilege of surveillance. - Of course - this is the cell phone in all its glory.

My son has been homeless in San Diego and has had a quite a few free obamaphones in the last years. According to him, the first thing to do with your obamaphone is to trade it with another homeless person and don't download apps.

They can go ahead and track you, but they will not know who you are. This is strange thing he found out from his homeless cohorts and now trades the phones continually. I have no idea if this makes any difference, but I do know his number is always changing.

Such a pathetic turn of events and the surveillance is taxpayer funded to boot!

I have a small piece of black tape over ever computer and cellphone camera I have. My friends say Im paranoid. I creeps me out that google is always asking me to take a picture o the restaurant or auto parts store or wherever I go. its like having a stalker following you around. If google really wanted to impress me- they would invent a Roomba that cleans up dogshit, instead of smearing it around the floor. Now that would be a technical breakthrough. Never set up your Roomba in auto mode- always precheck before you let it loose.

Words of wisdom - ignore your friends! I've got the black tape too and on all the red and blue lights on various appliances etc.

I was amazed with the pokemon go event. People were filming the interiors of their houses for that one. I could not believe the stupidity. Even my son - the pokefreak - would have nothing to do with that game. He did something to cloak a cheap phone for a day or two and then told me, "Oh no, mom. This one is evil."

Then all the people in my old town ran around filming the alleys and other out of the way places all summer while looking for the pokemon. I was watching in a fb group and they even posted about how the game seemed to be leading them to all kinds of odd places in town. The few times I spoke up to tell them they were filming for people unknown - I was stomped down.

Netflix is supposed to be a good thing for this too. A friend of mine finally got it for his wife who wanted it. A couple days later they where somewhere far from home and everything she had watched was coming up on her phone in odd ways - mostly telling here where she could buy stuff in this reasort town they were visiting. So they got rid of it and wiped her computer lol.

That's why I dot buy any "smart" appliances. I have older Toyotas, with no wifi or Bluetooth. The new smart TV's have cameras that watch you, and I cant believe the people who buy refridgerators with wifi cameras inside. You can just open the door to see whats inside. The more high tech it is-the dumber the consumer is.

What!? I had no idea about this for the fridge. Wow. I did notice in the last years that my friends cannot drive without someone in the car telling them which way to go and where to turn. I thought that was amazing. I'm talking about people who are driving in their own area. They still turn on the robot voice to get where they are going! Glad you are avoiding it too. I hope some of us survive to show people the old ways lol.

I live on Black Hammock Island, In Florida, and the GPS says there is a bridge that connects Shark road east with Hecksher Drive/ A1A. There isn't. But there is about 2 or 3 morons a month that follow the GPS- off the paved road, and into the marsh- where they get buried to the frame. And I get called out to pull them out with the Backhoe. And they are arguing that it wasn't there fault, because the GPS says there is a bridge there, and I ask them - When are you going to trust your eyes and not that stupid GPS? If there was a bridge, then I wouldn't be pulling you out for $50. I learned really quick to get my money up front, because they don't want to pay you after they get out of the marsh. And when they complain about $50, I tell them to call a wrecker- and the Wrecker is $250, and you need a visa or mastercard before they even leave the shop. People are getting so dumb today. I will send you a link about the fridge with the camera in it.

Oh my goodness! This is hilarious. I can just see you. At least you get steady income from this and I'm glad you are getting the money up front. I think you should double your price.

You know- now that I think about it youre right- the dumbest people seem to have the most money. And the backhoe payment is $350 a month, for the next two and a half years.

Go get 'em! Write some reviews of the bridge on Google maps and you can draw them like flies!

$6000 I saw. Your video did not work for me so I looked on you tube. People love it! The screen wakes up when you approach it, they put their banking on it, they buy food from it, they look at their food while at work thanks to the cameras in the fridge. Oh my goodness! Then in the "suggested videos" is one about how Samsung has a "Military Arm!"
