scientist urges us
to eat more salt

“Moreover, if a high salt diet really put people’s health at risk then why are the highest salt-eating populations (Japan, South Korea, and France) living the longest with the lowest rates of coronary heart disease in the world?” he said.
“Low-salt diets are putting the population at risk as there are literally millions of people who are at risk of salt deficiency, with over six million people in the US alone diagnosed with low sodium levels in the blood every year.”
I guess you should use salt, like everything else as you see fit, this world is now covered with studies about everything and most of them contradict each other, for example avocado, I have read stories were it is bad for your health and others were it is practically a life saver. Cigarrettes are bad for you right? Well for one my brother, who is 63 has been smoking since he was about 16, first thing he does in the morning is smoke a cig and he goes on to smoke at least 2 packs a day, and he checked his lungs and they are in better shape than mine and I only smoked for about 8 years and stopped 24 years ago, yet when I checked my heart the monitor showed I have a cloud of smoke there, so it depends on your physique (don't know if that word is right) but ultimately what I mean is do what you want to do, you will feel better for it.

Like everything it all depends. In my manual labor days I would have white clouds on my black shirts from the salt from my sweat. I could basically eat all the salt I wanted. If you're not sweating that much you can dial it down. Just like drinking 8 glasses of water a day. Myth. Some days you need 2 glasses, some days you need 2 gallons. Cravings play a crucial role in survival. Elephants and parrots regularly visit salt licks to get their mineral fix... I would guess cold climate people have a high tolerance for salt considering their food preservation practices... I think the real challenge is getting enough potassium for our muscles. The RDA is huge! Take a peak and figure out how many bananas it takes to get your RDA.
Makes sense.
There's much to think about... Thanks
I see a lot of quotes. I don't see any citation or links.
