Happy New Year!

Wait, what? New Year in June? Yes, it’s Matariki – the Maori New Year. The Wellington City Council has a bunch of celebration activities on all around the city over the next week or so. I think most of them are free to go to as well.

We went to a couple of shows on Friday night, which was really cool. The weather seemed to play ball as well. It was around 18 degrees Celsius and pretty calm – very unusual for a June evening.
