What's A New York Bagel Shop Look Like ? (My Pics )

Today's the day before Valentine's Day Here in New York and I'm eating bagels. These are some of the best bagels in the city.It's Called Tompkins Square Bagel and it's on Avenue A . At the corner of 10th street.Although it's Extremely crowded on weekends (the line can be 45 minutes long then!) today was Tuesday so it wasn't that bad.
You'll notice in the pics that smoked fish is a thing in New York! It's very old school New York but still very Popular.They have amazing baked salmon salad which you would get on your choice of bagel.Toasted or not.All the usual flavors - everything,sesame,salt,garlic,plain,raisin,pumpernickel,gluten free.Also today they have pink Valentine's bagels!But I didn't try it yet.
Also you'll notice there are several flavors of vegan tofu 'cream cheese' I believe it's tofutti brand.They have veggie tofu,artichoke/spinach tofu,plain,sundried tomatoe tofu and scallion tofu.This could also be eaten by lactose intolerant people too.They have coconut water and other high end teas and juices and sodas in the fridge.It isn't cheap but this is Manhattan.A bagel with cream cheese (flavored) runs about $4 but can go up to $6.50 depending on the spread (smoked fish costs that much.)
