It does not come as a surprise that many celebrate the holidays alone in today's society. Christmas and New Years, as being the two major holidays of the year, are bound to be bit rough on those who find themselves home alone only to observe the celebration from the bedroom window. Not to worry, for this is yet another opportunity for pondering and changing of one's mindset!

1. Think back and remember all your accomplishments of 2016. If you don't have any, you're wrong! There's always something awesome you did, and you know it. Feel good about it, appreciate the small victories and decide for yourself that 2017 will top 2016!

2. Understand that you are the author of your life, and that whatever comes next is the result of the pencil of your imagination drawing your life.

3. Make New Years resolutions. Yes, it might sound silly, and most people don't follow them, but really try understand just how important goals are. It doesn't have to be something huge, since most huge things are constructed by many little things. Aim high, respect your desires, and make it good.

4. Eat healthy, tasty and nutritious food! There's nothing better than an amazing meal which will both make you more lean and make you feel better. Prepare an excellent chicken salad, a piece of good fish, or how about some ground meat with some beans?

5. Go out and enjoy the fireworks! Feel the explosions in your body, let your eyes get blinded by the bursts of lightning-like pyromancy, and understand how good it is that what you hear is not the sound of heavy artillery coming your way, but of joyful celebrations dedicated to another year without tormenting wars in your country.
